Parietin

Parietin is a solar-associated pigment observed in lichenized systems under exposed growth conditions.

It emerges through sustained light interaction, encoding environmental exposure into visible form.

Within AURA, parietin contributes to the visual identity of certain batches.

Vulpinic Acid

Vulpinic acid is a lichen-associated metabolite found in high-light, exposed ecological settings.

It reflects environmental intensity — a compound shaped by open, unshielded growth.

Within AURA, it contributes to the visual and material identity of certain batches.

Usnic Acid

Usnic acid is a lichen-associated metabolite observed in systems adapted to variable and durable environments.

It is associated with persistence under exposure — a compound linked to long-term ecological stability.

Within AURA, it contributes to the material expression of certain batches.

FAQ

How do you think about ingredient safety?

Safety is controlled at the source.

AURA products are manufactured by Anti-Fungal Farms LLC and composed of two ingredients only — a biogenic lichen serum and a carrier.

All materials are cultivated, not sourced.

No external actives.

No compositional correction.

Each batch is evaluated for stability, purity, and optical consistency.

Shelf life is limited to 6–12 months. Use is minimal by design.

Apply sparingly.

Patch test prior to first use and observe over several days.

Explain light-activated

In the wild, lichen is exposed to full-spectrum sunlight, including UV, which alters its chemical profile over time.

Our cultures are grown under visible light only, producing a distinct pre-exposure state compared to outdoor lichen.

AURA foil preserves this state.

If removed and exposed to light, the chemical state may shift in ways that are not fully characterized —

AURA becomes Anti-Fungal Farms.

How much of your product is foraged versus cultured?

AURA materials are cultivated.

Production is based on controlled indoor cultivation of lichen and symbiotic mycelium.

Wild source material, where relevant to lineage, seeded early system development and supports continuous production.

This approach supports consistency, system control, and long-term sustainability.

Is this a medicine?

No.

AURA products are cosmetics only. They are not drugs and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

Can I use this daily?

AURA is intended for sparing, situational use.

A minimal amount forms a thin boundary across the skin.

It is applied during periods of environmental exposure — sunlight, smoke, wind, rain, cold, or water exposure.

This is not a routine. It is a response.
